1. Visit your High School Counselor: This is so Important, I Remember when I was in High School as a 12th grader, I had to go to the counselors office countless times, I wasn’t ashamed of doing it. I learnt about so much about Programs, Colleges, Scholarship Opportunities. So I willl suggest you go and see what your counselor has to offer, either virtually or physically, All of this information can be provided by your High school counselor and also the cool thing is program coordinators reach out to counselors and tell them to inform their students that they have a certain type of Scholarship Programme or Scholarship Opportunity Ongoing.

2. Apply to Legislative Scholarships: As an High School Student or as a senior looking for Scholarship, you need to be aware that there are Legislative Authority Figures in your county district that are there to serve you and they mostly have educational funds for students like you who want to pursue a higher education.

So you just have to look out for who is your district delegate and let them know you are an high school senior looking for a scholarship, they will definitely direct you on how to go about it.

3. Apply to College Specific Scholarships: This is very Important, For example, Let’s say you’ve already applied for the school of your dreams and you’re excited because the school has some qualities you’re looking for, if you’re certain about it or even if you are not and you’re just like “I have this option and I also have this option” I would recommend that you look for college specific Scholarships and apply to them, an example of this is 

According to this, it says the Cornell university needs based grants provides $46,399 in Scholarships to need-based students accepted into undergraduate studies at Cornell university.

4. Contact College Financial Aid Department: It turns out many times, Searching all over websites can be a little bit overwhelming and you don’t really know how to navigate the websites, the only option you have is to call up your financial aid department and let them what you’re looking for so that they can narrow down to some options you’re eligible for.

5. APPLY APPLY APPLY: Take every chance you have available even if it takes time, effort and takes the extramile. You might be in a Situation where you’ll see applications and know you’re eligible for it but it does require some steps, like Essays, Additional Documents that you don’t have at the moment, just try your best and apply, don’t let anything stop you.
